Media Handling

  • All tapes and media are handled with care. Due to the age/condition of legacy formats, we cannot guarantee against pre-existing damage, playback issues, or total failure to digitise.

  • If the media is too damaged or incompatible, it will be returned with no charge for digitisation.

Delivery Media

  • Digitised files are provided on USB sticks (or other formats where agreed).

  • USB sticks are tested before dispatch and guaranteed against faults for 30 days.

  • If a fault is suspected, the original USB stick must be returned for testing before a replacement or refund is considered.

  • Play // Pause is not responsible for loss, damage, or delay to items during shipping. Customers are responsible for securely packaging media when sending items.

Customer Responsibility

  • Once delivered, it is the customer’s responsibility to make and maintain backups of their digitised files. Play // Pause is not responsible for data loss after delivery.

  • Download links (if provided) are temporary and expire after the stated period.

Refunds & Cancellations

  • Refunds are not available once digitisation has started, unless equipment failure on our side prevents completion.

  • Estimated turnaround times will be given, but may vary depending on workload and media condition.

Copyright

  • By sending media, you confirm you own the rights to its content or have permission for it to be copied.

  • Play // Pause accepts no liability for unauthorised copying requested by the customer.

Liability

  • Liability is limited to the cost of the service paid. Play // Pause cannot accept responsibility for the sentimental or replacement value of original media.
