Terms & Conditions.
Media Handling
All tapes and media are handled with care. Due to the age/condition of legacy formats, we cannot guarantee against pre-existing damage, playback issues, or total failure to digitise.
If the media is too damaged or incompatible, it will be returned with no charge for digitisation.
Delivery Media
Digitised files are provided on USB sticks (or other formats where agreed).
USB sticks are tested before dispatch and guaranteed against faults for 30 days.
If a fault is suspected, the original USB stick must be returned for testing before a replacement or refund is considered.
Play // Pause is not responsible for loss, damage, or delay to items during shipping. Customers are responsible for securely packaging media when sending items.
Customer Responsibility
Once delivered, it is the customer’s responsibility to make and maintain backups of their digitised files. Play // Pause is not responsible for data loss after delivery.
Download links (if provided) are temporary and expire after the stated period.
Refunds & Cancellations
Refunds are not available once digitisation has started, unless equipment failure on our side prevents completion.
Estimated turnaround times will be given, but may vary depending on workload and media condition.
Copyright
By sending media, you confirm you own the rights to its content or have permission for it to be copied.
Play // Pause accepts no liability for unauthorised copying requested by the customer.
Liability
Liability is limited to the cost of the service paid. Play // Pause cannot accept responsibility for the sentimental or replacement value of original media.
